SWC Expanding

SWC Expanding

I hope you are all having a great summer. At least this year the weather is coming up trumps!

Just like the seasons, SWC is ever evolving and changing and hard to keep up with. We held a really successful Coaching Skills for Managers workshop in early June. This was specifically aimed at Practice Managers in GP Surgeries.  Since then the Department of Health have published the White Paper,  Equity & Excellence: Liberating the NHS. With GP surgeries now facing the task of commissioning Health care, it will certainly flag up a need to be even more  flexible and focused in organising the new agenda.  To help practices meet that need we have expanded our training dept to be able to offer expertise in the form of one day workshops specifically designed for those dealing with and within the NHS. Workshops can also be accessed by independent businesses in support of people management.

Team development days are proving to be very successful. Mark Robertson our Team Coach is regularly going out to improve the performance of teams. He is absolutely passionate about the creative power of difference and genuinely helps teams to gain insight and build on their strengths.

We had an interesting month when we moved offices and were without internet for the whole time! Apologies if this affected anyone but we call tried very hard to manage via external email accounts, other peoples computers and iphones!

Our next Coaching Skills for Managers workshop is due to be held in the 2nd week of September. I am just waiting to hear back from a couple on annual leave who would like to attend and then we will print the date.

Finally we are in the process of working with the ILM to gain accreditation of our Workshop and offer Coaching qualifications.

Have a great summer, Best Wishes Dee
